The Weathered Road

about The Weathered Road

The Weathered Road is literally named for the road that brought everyone together, Weather Ridge Road. It also symbolizes the struggle that all musicians go through in their dreams of making music their life's work. There is a fusion of several genres that each member brings to the band. Libby is an old-time appalachia fiddle player and an all-state choir vocalist as well as a one-time Maryland state champion fiddler. She is the soul and voice of The Weathered Road. Christopher Bell has been around singer-songwriter's his entire life. He brings a style influenced by folk and fingerstyle musicians such as Roger Hoard. Together they have begun to create a sound that is unique and fresh. All music is fusion. They take their collective roots and fuse them together and create a sound that is their own. Their music is a roller-coaster of emotions. This is a band that approaches music as mood and tries to encapsulate the feeling of being in that single moment. The Weathered Road is a rite of passage in itself. "We all Walk The Weathered Road"

Living in NC

posted August 2nd at 3:01pm

We are new to the Asheville area and are extremely excited about being here. This city is full of culture and music. We landed right where we felt that we needed to be. What better place than here, what better time than now. We are working hard towards getting a chance to play some of the great venues here in Asheville, and we hope to see some new faces at our up-coming shows. We are headed into the studio to record our first EP at the end of September. We are looking forward to promoting that disc locally in Asheville and tapping into the enormous festival scene here.
